Canadian win for Daniel Coyle

NORTHERN rider Daniel Coyle continues to dominate on the Canadian show jumping circuit, last week posting a win and a second place at the two-star show in Caledon.

Coyle steered Sue and Ariel Grange’s Ariana to win the $10,000 1.35m Open Welcome class before guiding Danturo B, an eight-year-old by Canturo, who is also owned by the Grange family, to finish second in the $25,000 Grand Prix.

Moore placed

GALWAY’S Stephen Moore was in action at the Global Champions Tour in Vienna last week where he finished fifth in Sunday’s two-star Grand Prix.

Riding Vlock Show Stables’ Cristobar, a 10-year-old gelding who was produced in Ireland by Declan Egan, Moore posted a double clear round in 42.19 seconds to finish behind Austria’s Dominik Juffinger (38.52). The American-based show jumper also picked up a ninth place finish aboard Cristobar in Friday’s 1.40m Table A with a clear round, one place ahead of Offaly’s Darragh Kenny and G Andiamo Rodeberg.
