O’Neill third

KILKENNY’s Ger O’Neill placed third in last Saturday’s two-star 1.40m jump-off class aboard the 10-year-old stallion Dondoctro Ryal K in Sentower Park, Belgium. O’Neill was one of seven double clear rounds and his time of 37.68 in the jump-off was good enough for third place and €750.

Victory went to America’s Luca Porter and Cassina 64 (0/0 36.09).

Recent Cavan Grand Prix winner Luke Garrigan finished second in Thursday’s 1.40m Table A aboard the Irish Sport Horse MHS La Scala (Verdi TN x Cavalier Royale), behind Sweden’s Henrik von Eckermann and First One (0/0 61.05).

McMahon placed

CLARE’s Eoin McMahon placed third in last Saturday’s 1.35m Table A at the two-star show in Riesenbeck, Germany. Riding Ciebell, McMahon was clear in 55.85 seconds. He was back in the placings on Sunday when finishing fourth in the six and seven-year-old final aboard Londino 3 with a double clear round.

Diarmuid Howley was also in action at the German venue and he was runner-up in Friday’s six and seven-year-old class with Mithney Z, and fifth in the 1.40m Table A with Dakota van Schuttershof.
