CAPTAIN Geoff Curran enjoyed a good trip to Belgium last weekend when he picked up a three-star win with Drumiller Lough (Heartbreaker x Mountain Pearl).

Curran’s victory aboard the 15-year-old Paul Dillon-bred gelding came in Thursday’s 1.30m. They followed that with a runner-up finish in Friday’s 1.35m to take their prize money tally to close to €2,000.

Co Cork’s Shane O’Reilly was also in action at the Belgian venue and he placed third in a 1.30m with Belga du Thot, with Kayleigh Soden finishing sixth in the same class aboard Quiara M. Soden’s other result came in Sunday’s 1.25m one-star Grand Prix with Juliana. She was double clear in a time of 31.21 seconds.

Philip Carey also picked up placings at the show, included fourth in Sunday’s five and six-year-old young horse class with the six-year-old Irish Sport Horse CSF Kancruz, and fourth in Saturday class aboard Hot Shot VDS.
