IRISH riders were in the ribbons at Drammen as they put in a good performance in the CSI2* show at the Norwegian venue.

Former Army Equitation School rider, Shane Carey, got the ball rolling when he partnered Exclusief into fifth place in the 1.30m when clear in 72.42.

Later in the week, Carey finished 11th in the Table A with Excentriek with a double clear in 45.71 in the 1.40 two-phase while Captain Geoff Curran and Shannondale Rahona finished sixth, clear in 33.43. The winner of the class was Linnea Ericsson-Carey and Pacome des Plains who posted a clear in 31.89.

In the CSIYH1*, Curran and Lone Star finished eighth in the six-year-old class and more was to come from Curran in the CSI2*/Grand Prix Table A, where he and Ringwood Glen were best of the Irish when finishing equal third, clear in 45.27. Curran also shared third place with Ole Kristoffer Meland and Casper S. The winner of the class was Henk van De Pol of The Netherlands and Willink when they clocked 40.23 while taking second place was Geir Gulliksen and Seringat, clear in 40.88.
