Drain enjoys win

ANTRIM’s Conor Drain was back in the ribbons last week featuring in two classes in Ommen CSI***. Drain rode Zidane to victory in the 1.40m class, clear in 60.13 seconds and also went clear with Cibalia to take third (60.00) in a class won by Britwiefferink (59.29).

Chawke in top five

AT the recent Calgary Anderson Ranch CSI** event in Canada, James Chawke from Co Laois finished fourth in the €34,000 Grand Prix with Nirvana De Terlong. Meanwhile the stallion Zydalgo M, produced by James and campaigned by his partner Jacqueline Colborne, won a 1.45m FEI class at the venue.
