IRISH riders racked up strong placings in the CSI*** show at Vejer De La Frontera, Spain last weekend.
Best of the Irish in the 1.45m class on Saturday was Richard Howley, who took third with Calmond when clear in 44.32. Winner of the class was Pedro Veniss (Brazil) and For Felicila, clear in 42.60. Howley was back in the ribbons on Sunday in the 1.45m class, taking eighth place with Dolores.
In Saturday’s 1.20m class Madelaine Gervais finished in fourth with Ms Clinton.
In the Classic Tour A, Sheikh Samir Mirdad took third aboard Mirdads Baaab Al Rayyyan.
The day before he also eighth place in the 1.10m with Mirdads Baaab Al Rayyyan.
Derek McCoppin and Gold Dust had a fifth place finish in the 1.30m class, while further down the line in 10th spot was Madelaine Gervais with Tito.
McCoppin went one better in the 1.35m, claiming the runner-up place with Billy Diamond. The class was won by Britain’s Kayleigh Watts and Charmeur, clear in 61.45. McCoppin continued this good form when claiming victory in the 1.30m with Billy Diamond.
Brian Cassidy and Mega Heat Way also featured in the lineup, slotting into fourth place.?
Dermott Lennon finished in 13th place with Class of Touch Hero in the 1.35m big tour.
