ACTION in the horse classes kicked off with victory for Annemarie Kelly in the 90cms class with Pink Vision while on Sunday, it was division honours went to Jacqui Boland and Maverick Na Ri.

Victory in Saturday’s one metre class went to Sara Pothmann Cullen and Arkana while Lisa Doyle took the runner-up place with Corland’s Clipper. Third place belonged to Casey Phair and Drumralla Lady.

In the 1.10m, it was Sean Kavanagh and Dungar Clover Breeze who took the honours. This combination also took second place in the 1.20m. In third place was Suzanne Posnett and Atricia. Sara Pothmann Cullen was back in the ribbons, claiming third with My Mr Knightley and fourth with Pothmann Cullen’s Arkana.

A familiar face in Cavan, John Floody took the winner’s prize in the 1.20m with King’s Best. This combination had to settle for the runner-up placing in this class on Sunday, ahead of Shannon Robinson and Auburn Luna.

Sven Hadley picked up a series of placings over the weekend, taking fifth place in the 1.20m with Cassana and the win in the 1.30m with Quanbell. It was a good weekend for these two riders as they shared the winners’ prize in the 1.30m. On this occasion, Floody partnered HTS Blackrock while Hadley rode Quanbell.

On Sunday, prolific amateur winner Paul Carroll took the honours in the one metre class with Castleroche La Roche. Sara Pothmann Cullen picked up another rosette, taking second place with Arkana, ahead of John Floody and Mirdads Liil Mrl.

Pothmann Cullen went one better again when claiming the 1.10m with Arkana while pony rider Ciaran Nallon also demonstrated his talent in the horse division when taking the red rosette with Bally Fair in the 1.20m.
