EDDIE Moloney and his own Pashmina K captured the opening event at Cavan on Friday afternoon when they saw off stiff competition from a field of 57 to take the win.

Saturday’s speed class also featured a 50 plus field but it was Daniel Coyle that came out on top on this occasion.

Riding Uptown Girl, a mare on which he has enjoyed many victories, he was the only rider to stop the clock in under 50 seconds to seize the win in 49.33.

Olive Clarke and Snipe finished in second place just half-a-second slower in 50.03 while Joan Green and Abbey Coleen were third in a time of 52.27.
