IT was another good week for the Co Kildare Equestrian Centres Show Jumping League with competitors battling it out last Sunday at both Daffodil Lodge Equestrian Centre and in Little Oak Equestrian Centre.

At Daffodil Lodge, it was Max Isom and Ellie who took the win in the 50cm class, chased home by Isabelle Schonborn, who put a foot-perfect round with Colleen.

Taking third place was Aoife Masterson and Sammy. A further four combinations qualified in this division including Anna Lester (Filly Folly), Rhys McDonnell (Yankee), Emily Sheridan (Bella) and Cara Archibald and Flame.

70CMS

The winner of the 70cm class was Jessica Sheridan and Solis ahead of Max Ison and Ellie. Slotting into third was Jessica Flood and Dakota.

Also qualified in this division was Paige Conway (Diesel), Aoife Masterson (Sammy), Daniel Sargent (Snooze), Ellie Lester (Piper), Cara Archibald (Flame), Carlotta Carioni (Sammy), Rhys McDonnell and Yankee.

Competition in the 90cm went down to the wire but in the end, it was Paige Conway and Diesel who took the win.

In close second was Jessica Flood and Dakota ahead of Jessica Sheridan riding Solis.

LITTLE OAK

At Little Oak Equestrian Centre, the Creightons took the first two places in the 90cm division.

Claiming the red rosette was Anthony Creighton and Krusty ahead of Eloise Creighton and Star.

Accounting for third place was Tara Ennis who was riding Minnie. Also qualified for the final were four other competitors – Nadine Gill (Kizzy), Charlie Curran (Ailfe), Kiki Curran (Pepsi) and Shane Percival and Clyde.

Nadine Gill delivered a great performance in the 90cm but in the 70cm, she emerged victorious with Kizzy.

Sarah Delany and Casey took the runner-up spot ahead of Niamh Lawless and Murphy. Also booking their place in the final was Lean Coulahan (Charlie), Sean Geoghegan (Angel), Mischa Grehan-Colon (Jessie) and Tara Ennis and Minnie.

In the final class of the day, the 90cm, it was Sean Geoghegan and Angel who took the win, chased home by Sarah Delaney riding Casey.
