EDWARD Doyle Jnr and his father Edward's mare Mullaghdrin Limber won the Irish Sport Horse Studbook seven-year-old championship at Cavan Equestrian.
A double clear in a time of 45.01 saw the pair claim Sunday's win in a six-way jump-off.
Pathfinder in the timed decider was Porsh Dolly and Kate Derwin, they had the third fence down in a time of 43.04 for eventual sixth place. Accidental Diamond and John Floody left all the fences up in 47.50 to claim the runner-up spot.
Beech Hill Tayla Blue, ridden by Mark Tracy, then recorded the second clear of the jump-off in 53.42 which would see them into third place overall.
Doyle was fourth to go and managed to slice over two seconds off the leading time to secure the win.
The final two combinations, MHS Fernhill Showtime (Kate Derwin) and Riverside Swaziland (John Floody), both had the penultimate fence down for four faults apiece, the former taking fourth place, in what was by far the fastest time of the class in 37.10, while the latter took fifth in 40.22.
