TUESDAY was Viewing Day at Wexford Equestrian, where owners Pat Peare and Orla Roche were delighted that riders co-operated with the timing schedule to keep this penultimate leg of the Stepping Stones to Success League running smoothly.

This was important as the team from Bit Media, who have been providing photographic coverage of the competition each week, were extra busy videoing all jumping rounds. Thanks to support from the Irish Horse Board, these are now available to view online.

The day’s judges were Mark Ruddock (dressage), Ian Fearon (show jumping) and Britain’s Angela Tucker (cross-country). At next Tuesday’s final, when points and a half are on offer, an in-hand conformation phase will be included in all classes bar that for thoroughbreds.

Also on Tuesday, provided their horses have filled the criteria of completing one qualifier, Viewing Day and the final itself, two owners will be offered wildcard entry to the inaugural Goresbridge Horse Sales’ Copper Beach Sale of four and five-year-old eventers and show jumpers taking place on Monday, May 25th.

The following are the top-placed horses/ponies in their respective leagues following the two point-scoring rounds.
