BP Tiny Dancer, an eight-year-old mare owned and bred by Ballypatrick Stables’ GBBS Int Ltd, won the 1.35m Botanica Speed class at Cavan Equestrian last Saturday afternoon.
Ridden by Leah Stack, she is by Plot Blue out of the prolific Irish winner Uptown Girl, by Concorde, and saw off stiff competition in the 98 combination-strong class, crossing the finish in a time of 55.09 to claim the victory.
Cavan’s own Jamie Clarke took the runner-up spot riding Victoria Clarke’s eight-year-old Sydney Pmd (Quidam Junior x Cumano), bred by Patrick O’Dea. They recorded a time of 55.11.
Cian McMunn and his family’s Lisboy Emerald (Emerald Vant Ruytershof x Lux Z), bred by Michael McDonagh, were third in 56.61. McMunn also took fourth place aboard his other mount, the Belgian-bred stallion Oberon Van’t Lohof (Eldorado Van De Zeshoek x Winningmood Van De Arenberg). They stopped the clock at 57.69.
Fifth place went to Niamh O’Connor Barry and her own Drumiller Vegas (Cardento x Rockhill Clover), bred by Paul Dillon, in 58.40. Rockmount Farms’ L’Esprit Hero Z (Lexicon x For Pleasure), bred by Gerry Marron and Luc Henry, was ridden into sixth place by Harrison Blair in 58.75.
