THE Mon Jump, Duffy and Ekberg and Madgeslane-sponsored 1.30m speed class at Garranemore was claimed by speed merchant Sven Hadley aboard the John Deegan-owned Machnus Lux, when they kept all the poles in place in 65.93. Not content with the win, Hadley also took third place with his own eight-year-old Maximum Numero Too HSH, with a clear in 69.24. He then completed the hat-trick, when he partnered the Hibernia Horses-owned Elka De La Pomme to a clear in 70.35.

The runner-up spot was claimed by Emma O’Dwyer aboard Claire Penny’s seven-year-old Kpcm Contessina with a clear in 67.78. A clear from Paul Kennedy and Sirium 11 in 71.69 saw them claim fifth place. Rounding off the top six was Madeline Allen and her seven-year-old, Davinci Z in a time of 74.03.

It was a good day in the office for Galway’s Sven Hadley, as he claimed first and second place in the Andrew Cahill Horse Transport-sponsored 1.20m class. Riding his own HSH Harper Du Seigneur, he lodged the winning round of double clear in 31.09. He had set the bar high with John Deegan’s Machnus Lux, delivering a clear in 32.53, which would later see him take second place.

Aine O’Gorman and Dangriga Des Premices Z took third place when they put in a foot-perfect performance in a time of 32.61. Gemma Phelan also collected in this class, taking fourth with Hilda Anthony’s My Private Dancer, with a clear in 35.64. Aoife McCabe also returned to the line-up, taking fifth with her own seven-year-old, Air Mail, with a clear in 36.77. Completing the top six was Tim Macdonagh and his own seven-year-old Anessa Heritage Z, clear in 38.63.
