LEADING the victory lap in the DAFM Studbook Series six-year-old class at Mullingar Equestrian was Liam O’Meara aboard his own Maxi JJ, when they were fastest of four double clears in the seven-way jump-off in a time of 41.15. This gelding was bred by Jackson Goulding and is by O’Meara’s stallion Sir Jim Jim out of the Maximum Joe-sired dam Grennantown Maxinehill. This young horse has an impressive record up to 1.35m and finished fifth in the RDS qualifiers in Barnadown.

Young rider Coen Williams also featured in this line-up, taking the runner-up spot with his own Grand Amour KPCM with a clear in 42.82. Bred by Karen Millar, this mare is by Grandorado TN and is out of the Emerald Van’T Ruytershof-sired dam, Ellie-May LVS Z.

Gemma Phelan also returned to the line-up, taking third with the Beechfield Stables-owned Mentolado, with a clear in 45.69. Bred by Eamon McArdle, this gelding is by Cormint out of the Skippy-sired dam, Badjari.

Katie Conlon was last of the double clears with LS Epic Leap in 52.53 for eventual fourth place. Bred by Cormac McElroy, this gelding is by Echonix and is out of the Orestus-sired dam, Lou Lou Leap. This combination has also proved very consistent in this series.

Young rider Oisin Magee put in a fast round with the Declan Gahan-owned Brackleys Chanel, but with one on the ground in a time of 42.82, he had to settle for fifth. Bred by Brendan McArdle, the mare is by Casallo Z and is out of the Cheknov PZK-sired Brackleys Dior.

John McEntee also finished on four faults with Kinmar Flash in 45.28, which would see him take sixth. Owned by Katie McEntee, this mare was bred by Gerrard Marron and she is by For Kinmar Hero Z out of Kinmar Lady.
