A TOTAL of 30 combinations battled it out in Saturday’s 1.20m Championship final for mares and the winner was Conor Gilmartin and Innisfree Beachbabe when they delivered the fastest of 19 double clears in 31.54.
Sven Hadley added to his good record when he took second place with Naira Yc in a time of 32.22, just fractions ahead of Anna White and SBH Diamond In The Rough in 32.28.
Fourth place was filled by Mark Neilan and New Haven Star in 32.76, ahead of Matilde Hughes Bravo and Miss Belgium 111 in 32.86. Completing the top six was Sean Dooley and Indie Girl in 33.63.
Ladies 1.10m Final
Winners of the Ladies 1.10m final was Carla McGarry and Innisfree Mia when they were fastest of 12 double clears in 29.18. She was chased home by Nicole Lynch and My Velvet Lady who came home in 29.78. Third place belonged to Caroline Ryan and Marlow ELJ in 30.43.
Six and seven-year-olds
A total of 21 combinations contested the seven-year-old final and ot was English rider Annabel Shields and Paddy who claimed victory when clear in 38.99. Less than a second separated the next placing as Shane O’Reilly and Billy Santandiago came home clear in 39.91. Accounting for third place was Wesley Ryan and Agano Du Piedroux Z clear in 41.63.
Keane fastest
Winner of the six-year-old final and over was Ben Keane and Jericho when fastest of 19 double clears in 26.93. Fractions behind was Orla Dixon and Ravens Mister Rolo in 27.27. Third place was filled by Robin Carey and Golden Puissance in 27.85.
Young horses
Winner of the six-year-old and under final was Roisin Cahill. Riding the Ann O’Grady-owned six-year-old Ballingowan Rosseva, she lodged a double clear in 32.19. Sven Hadley wasted no time with the six-year-old Toleen St, clocking 33.90 for second, ahead of Isabel O’Brien and the six-year-old HHS Texas, clear in 34.05.
Shane Dalton and the five-year-old Tangelos Touch emerged victorious in this final when they came home clear in 34.36. Annabel Shields and the five-year-old Casala Dawn were fractions behind in 35.27 for second, ahead of Daisy O Dea and Trinity Blue (5yo) in 35.60 for third.
Winner of the 1m five-year-old and under was Roisin Cahill and Limestone Leonardo when they lodged the winning clear round of 32.18.
Taking the runner-up spot was Linnea Parker and Powerful W, clear in 33.86, ahead of Emma Murphy and Killycloughan Firefly, clear in 35.06.
Amateur Final
Ben Keane returned to the line-up to take the amateur final with Jericho when clear in 27.58.
He was chased home by Niall Hughes and Perle Fine, clear in 27.81. Slotting into third was Hannah McNiven and Odetta clear in 28.46.
