THE first win of the day on Saturday in the Cuffe Family 1.20m Speed Table A was claimed by Isabelle Boland, when she partnered Boleybawn Reverie to a clear in 59.37. Bred by Ronan Rothwell, the seven-year-old mare is by Brunetti 6 and out of the Luidam-sired dam Boleybawn Hannah. Just a second behind and clear was Katie Tobin and KEC Maximum Lady, in 60.37 for second. Lauren McDonald and Cornascriebe Last Lady kept all the poles in place in 60.56 for third. Accounting for fourth place was Lauryn Baxter and Max The Outlaw with a clear in 60.91. English rider Glain Watkin Jones and Otriomf took fifth with a clear in 61.04, while in sixth was Maeve Foley on Dutchblue, clear 61.78.

Sven Hadley took another win on Saturday, in the 1.25m Speed Table A, when he delivered a double clear with HSH Harper du Seigneur in 54.68. Zaid Ali Raad returned to the line-up to take second with D’Extase Dh Z, when they kept all the poles in place in 55.32. A clear from Niamh Devlin and HHS Ice Flo in 57.27 secured them third. Hadley returned to take fourth with Make It Easy with another clear in 59.05. Fifth place was filled by Glain Watkin Jones and Asca Star VM Z, clear in 64.88. Riding for the Paddy O’Donnell stables, Lucy O’Sullivan took sixth with the home-bred, Kilfarissey Go For Gold with a clear in 76.17.

1.30m Speed Table A

Victory in the seventh international class, the HK-sponsored 1.30m Speed Table A went to Connaught, as Stephen Gibbons and Cassius Z delivered the winning round of clear in 55.47. Owned by Jane Gibbons, this 14-year-old is by Canabis Z and out of Ginger Sari. Over two seconds slower and taking second place was Dylan Ward and Aganix de La Mer, clear in 57.75. Ward wasn’t too disappointed, as he also took sixth with Kruser DHH, with a clear in 64.34. Sven Hadley added to his tally, as he took third with Maximum Numero Too HSH, with a clear in 59.86. Fourth place belonged to Aidan Killeen and Comme Luna d’O Z, clear in 62.90, ahead of Victoria Clarke and Cherry Candy Girl, who put in a foot-perfect round in 63.39.

The proceeding Eddie Moloney Sporthorses 1.40m Speed Table A saw 41 go to post and, from those, 13 produced clear rounds. Leading the victory lap after a great tour of duty in Mexico CSI5*GCT/GCL and Miami Beach was Kilkenny’s Susan Fitzpatrick aboard her own Hector de Kezeg, when they came home in 64.47. This nine-year-old stallion is by Diamant De Semilly. Robert Splaine and Coolcorron Lachlan came closest to catching the winner, but they were over five seconds behind, clocking 69.92. Darragh Ryan and Lady Blue du Pont Letot took third, when they stopped the clock in 71.97, ahead of Ailsa Sexton and Sparky Lad, clear in 73.71. Rachel Chapman and Os Pouilly Fusse took fifth when they clocked 73.83, ahead of Frank Curran and Leestone Zaire, clear in 75.40.

The last class of the day, the Kevin Mealiff Sporthorses 1.30m Six-Bar, saw four riders share the win as they went three rounds. Those combinations were Jill Greene and Clarehall Kannan Law, Sean Monaghan and Chef Of Flanders Fields Z, Andrew Hodgins and Shanaclough Luichew and Jason Foley and Cute Face. Three riders - Paddy O’Donnell riding Castleconnell Candy Man, Alex O’Connor riding Cassido and Nicholas Butler on Ladycastle Paco - all shared fifth place, when they faulted in the third round.
