CAVAN Equestrian Centre hosted their annual Cavan Home Pony International which is the highlight of the pony calendar year at the venue.
This event is now in its 28th year of running and is the only Home Pony International event that takes place in Ireland.
This four-day event attract riders from all four corners of Ireland and also visitors from England, Scotland and Wales.
The team events are a highlight of this show and riders are eager to be selected to compete in these classes. The atmosphere around the arena was fantastic with all the cheers of the crowds encouraging the riders.

The finale of the four events are the Grands Prix. The 128-1.05m Grand Prix, kindly sponsored by Ballinroe Horse Transport, was won by Harvey Foley on The Silver Legend, jumping a double clear round in 29.74. Second went to Annie Hughes Kennedy on Hes A Touch of Magic, double clear in 31.05 and in a very close third was Gracie Kelly on Red City Sparrow.
The 128-Under 10 Grand Prix, kindly sponsored by Jod-Z, was a win for Rory McBride on Creevla Fire Fox when they were double clear in 25.31. Followed in a very close second place was Ben Hawkins on Whistletown Blue Belle, double clear 25.69, and third place went to Mark Brown with a double clear 26.07.
The 138-1.15m Brian Taggart Memorial Grand Prix, kindly supported by Aloga Auction, was a super-fast class with Harvey Foley taking his second win of the day, this time on Mayfly Green Peter, when double clear in 32.31. Jack Dore on Hashtag Ailas was second in 33.04 and third place went to Leona Devlins Etoile Des Chesnaises, also double clear in 34.12.
The 148-1.25m Kerry Taggart Memorial, kindly supported by Aloga Auctions, was another super class with top class jumping on display.
The honours went to Charlie Flynn on JDF Montana. Second was Ruben Foley on Valma De Fougnard and third went to Cian McMunn on Kandie Van Seven Oaks
Four days of wonderful show jumping was had, with a great spell of weather, all riders went home happy after some successful results.
