TREO Eile sponsored awards for the highest-placed thoroughbreds in two of the Open performance hunter classes on Saturday.
In the RC70 Open, the winner, representing Letterkenny, was the Libby Mooney-ridden Invincible Truth (Gutaifan - Mendacity, by Invincible Spirit), who was second on 105 marks. The unraced seven-year-old mare finished a mark behind the winner, the six-year-old Irish Sport Horse mare Peach Snaps, and five marks ahead of the third-placed Loaded, a 13-year-old gelding by Kodiac, who was ridden by his breeder, Mill Road’s Alice Fitzgerald.
The prize in the very well-filled RC90 Open went to the five-time track winner Whatswrongwithyou (Bienamado - Greenfield Noora, by Topanoora), a 15-year-old chesnut gelding who finished 13th in the hands of Castle Carraig’s Claire MacMahon.
