TWO open classes were run alongside the Connolly’s Red Mills/AIRC national dressage championship at the Mullingar Equestrian Centre last Sunday and both were won by Ashbrook’s Mairead Dolan on An tUasal Humble Pie and An tUasal Ciunas.

The former won the RCP2 on a combined percentage score of 141.28, ahead of Stracomer’s Clodagh Ni Bhradaigh riding Ballyclogher Queen (133.73), and the latter the RCP3 on 146.52, which was also comfortably clear of Mill Road’s Hanna Bjoremark on MLHR Cian (137.99).

Dolan’s pair of Irish Draught geldings are half-brothers out of the ID mare Richmondlea Dara, and both are owned by their breeder Helena Fitzgerald.
