THE Carlow Farmers Hunt held a point-to-point at Borris House, by kind invitation of the Kavanagh family, last weekend.

The mounted stewards were well-known saddler Tom Berney, owner of Berney Bros Saddlery, and he was joined by Hazel Valentine riding side saddle.

Tom is whipper-in to the Carlow Farmers along with Jodie Skelton. The huntsman is Tom Small and the masters are Joe Skelton and Mehran Mirahmadi.

There was great interest among attendees of the point-to-point in the demonstration of side saddle riding.
