THE North Leinster Region of Eventing Ireland held its annual general meeting last Wednesday week in The Snailbox, Kilmoon where Sarah Ennis was presented with the leading senior rider award by committee member Lt Col Brian MacSweeney.
The highlights of an outstanding 2025 season for Ennis recalled on the night were representing Ireland at the European championships in Blenheim with husband Niki Potterton’s Dourough Ferro Class Act, being best-placed of the Irish in Boekelo with Susanna Francke and Peter Cole’s Grantstown Jackson and winning the Michael Leonard Championship CCI1*-Intro for five and six-year-olds at Ballindenisk with her own Ordonnay.
The other regional award winners were Carla Williamson (leading Junior rider), Caroline Condon (leading Young Rider), Suzie Cosgrove (leading Pony rider) and Rachael O’Callaghan (leading Amateur rider).
The 2026 committee comprises chairperson Gervaise Maher, secretary Davina Gray, treasurer Dayna Curtis, plus members Jeanine Curtis, Elaine Lait, Lt Col Brian MacSweeney and Michael McNally.
