READERS and Pony Club members will be aware of the fundraising drive from the Irish Pony Club this summer for the Irish Cancer Society. It was an action-packed summer with ice bucket challenges, mini ODEs, tack sales, show jumping, monster raffles and quizzes, which resulted in great camaraderie and enthusiasm, as well as raising close to €25,000 already for the charity.

There are more events planned by clubs throughout the country before the year ends, but the big one is happening on Saturday, November 1st in Hotel Kilkenny when the IPC will host an end of season ball in aid of the Irish Cancer Society.

The night will be for the parents, friends, instructors and board members to let their hair down after a busy summer bringing the Irish Pony Club members to rallies, camps and competitions around the country.

There will be live music, raffle and auction on what promises to be a night to remember. Tickets cost €75 and are reportedly selling fast on the Irish Pony Club’s itsplainsailing page.
