LAST week started well for Sinead Healion of the Annaghmore team, with both Annaghmore Huntress and Annaghmore Lady Master qualifying for the Royal International at Hickstead, the latter standing Champion. Produced perfectly by Kirstine Douglas for owner Morean Hamilton, it was an amazing achievement for her first show. Then, on Thursday morning, May 7th, their full-sister Annaghmore Hunting Pink (by OBOS Quality 004 out of Annaghmore Lady Valier) delivered a beautiful big filly foal by Urban Poet.
Dinah Posford and family’s half-sister Annaghmore Valoner and Harry Meade Eventing then made their very successful Badminton Horse Trials debut over the weekend, going down the centre line on Friday morning and securing third on Sunday after one fence down.
“I thought she jumped beautifully. She went in and handled the cheers, the atmosphere, the crowd really well,” said Harry. “I was delighted with her round. She went in a beautiful, soft way and jumped out of her skin. She had a rail, which was very, very minor, but I couldn’t be happier with her.”
