CATHY Snow of Moorland Connemara Ponies in Letterfrack has announced a “dream come true” to have established the Connemara Pony Heritage Centre in collaboration with the Connemara National Park.

The centre will be devoted to the native Connemara breed, a place of homage to the Connemara pony for all the world to visit based in the heart of Connemara to preserve, promote and enhance the cultural, historical and unique heritage of the Connemara pony.

Cathy said it is “a dream that was born in the head of a young girl, that was carried in a heart for half a lifetime and now has become a reality!”

The official opening of the centre takes place next Friday, October 31st at the Connemara National Park with plans to add to and develop the centre over time.
