Former Olympian Tony Cameron (left) put in a surprise appearance at Cork Racecourse on Thursday evening. He is pictured here with (l-r) Ned Keys, Dowager Countess of Harrington, and race sponsor John Barrett following the success of Super Sox in the NFP Irish EBF Platinum Stakes.
Now aged 84, Tony was 19 when he represented Ireland on the equestrian team at the Olympics in 1960 (Rome). He was also on the 1964 three-day eventing team in Tokyo. He finished fourth in the Olympics and, as a jockey, he finished fourth in the 1962 Grand National.
