ONE of the latest former members of the Irish Pony Club to make their mark on the point-to-point scene is Jessica Grant who, on her seventh ride between the flags, landed the older horses’ maiden for novice riders at Tinahely last month on Roman Parish.

The seven-year-old Parish Hall gelding is trained for Jessica’s father Colm by David O’Brien who gave the one-time Kilkenny Hunt Branch member her first point-to-point ride in December last year and has provided the 19-year-old with all of her 14 rides in bumpers. Jessica works for leading Co Wexford point-to-point trainer Colin Bowe.
