WHILE their elders are looking forward to the Barrier Animal Health Spring Festival at Castle Irvine, Necarne over the weekend of April 25th and 26th, younger Branch members in Area 17 of The Pony Club competed at their own Mini Spring Festival at Danescroft Equestrian on Easter Monday.

East Antrim members won all three-phase classes thanks to the efforts of Maisie Wallace on Jigsaw (30cms), Kai Casey with Minuet In Motion (45cms) and Leah Millar riding Tizzy (60cms). In the two-phase section, the North Downs’ Charlotte Muir won the match for honours at 70cms level on board McFly while the East Downs’ Emma Turley won the 80cms class with the only double clear on Diamond.

This weekend, tetrathlon fans are converging on the Ballymena area for a two-day two-phase and tetrathlon competition being run by the Mid Antrim Branch.
