EACH Sunday this month, the Kildare Hunt Branch is holding a novice training cross-country league in an enclosed area of the cross-country course at Punchestown which is open to all members of the Irish Pony Club.
There are classes for lead rein (over cross-poles), 40cm/50cm, 50cm/60cm and 70cm and fences will include a water complex.
This training league, which takes place under the guidance of IPC instructors, is leading up to the Branch’s dedicated Pony Club hunter trials at Punchestown on Sunday, October 12th.
Also on Sunday, October 12th, the popular Area 5 Jumps Ahead league, hosted by the Muskerry Branch of the IPC, is due to start at Ballindenisk.
The other three league dates are October 26th, November 9th and November 16th - all Sundays as well.
