FOLLOWING last September’s successful inaugural competition at the Ballindenisk international horse trials, the 2026 Pony Club Nations Cup of eventing is being hosted at next month’s Aspen Cooling Osberton international horse trials in England (October 1st to 4th).

The Irish Pony Club is due to announce its squad next week, but Area 17 of The Pony Club (Northern Ireland) has already published the names of five riders and one reserve, who have been selected to travel. In alphabetical order, they are East Antrim’s Cayleigh Erwin (Murph), Iveagh’s Una McClelland (Murlough Beach), North Down’s Zara Reid (The Doctors Touch), East Down’s Anna Sloan (Woodbury Tampa) and Fermanagh’s Beth Wishart (Fermanagh).

The Iveaghs’ Amy Clarke, who has been nominated as team reserve with Crannaghmore Emirs Cailin, has also been invited to ride for the Ireland and Islands’ team.
