MANY congratulations to Emily Flavin-Redmond, a member of the Carlow Hunt Branch of the Irish Pony Club, who won the Eventing Ireland Plusvital spring series CT80 combined training league, which had its final round at CoilÓg last Saturday.
Emily’s partner throughout the series was her mother Debbie’s much-admired five-year-old Connemara mare Galtee Honeysuckle, who first really came to public attention when Emily rode her on the winning Randox team at last December’s HRI Treo Eile Thoroughbred Classic at Emerald.
At last August’s Connollys Red Mills/IPC national eventing championships in Tattersalls Ireland, where she rode Ballyerk Paulo, Emily was a member of the Carlow Crusaders quartet who finished fifth in the Junior team championship, while she won the Foran Equine league with the Connemara gelding.
