Ridden pony supreme
The ridden pony supreme championship at last weekend’s Northern Ireland Festival was won by Littlebyrom Limited Edition who, partnered by Limavady’s Kjerstin Chissel for her mother Kate, also won the Horse of the Year Show veteran qualifier. The reserve supreme champion was Bombay Regal Prince, ridden by Kate Lawlor for her father Brendan, while the first reserve spot was filled by Poppy Smith on Roseberry High Flyer who, for the weekend, was shown as No 1 due to his connections getting their entry in very early. The Chissels are now heading to Balmoral with the 16-year-old 133cms gelding Littlebyrom Limited Edition who came over from England with the stablename Kye. This partnership is on a roll having won three classes and three championships at the Irish Pony Society’s spring show at Barnadown last month.
