HORSE Sport Ireland will nominate Mullingar Equestrian Centre to the European Equestrian Federation (EEF) as Ireland’s proposed venue to bid to host a leg of the 2026 Longines EEF Series.
This nomination follows an open expression of interest process launched by Horse Sport Ireland earlier this year. All submissions were evaluated against defined criteria, including venue infrastructure, operational readiness, governance compliance in delivering an FEI CSIO3* international team event.
A press release said: “Horse Sport Ireland wishes to sincerely thank all Organising Committees who submitted an expression of interest and engaged with the National Federation throughout this process. Their commitment to the development of international competition in Ireland is greatly valued.”
The nomination of Mullingar Equestrian Centre will now proceed to the EEF’s independent selection process, where it will be considered alongside applications from other Organising Committees across Europe. The final decision on host venues for the 2026 Longines EEF Series will be made by the EEF Selection Panel, based on a competitive assessment process.
Horse Sport Ireland’s role is to nominate one venue for Ireland; the final selection and calendar allocations are solely at the discretion of the EEF.
