THE Leinster show jumping season is set to come alive with the return of the highly-anticipated Karlswood Stables Leinster Summer Tour in Barnadown. With top-class facilities, strong sponsorship backing, and a clear focus on nurturing emerging talent, the Karlswood Stables Leinster Summer Tour promises an exciting and competitive season for riders, owners and spectators.
Running across more than 10 action-packed legs, the tour incorporates the TRI Equestrian Leinster Young Rider League, providing a vital platform for developing athletes to gain experience, recognition and opportunity at top venues throughout the summer.
A standout feature of this year’s tour is the introduction of the Pauric O’Neill Premium Showjumps Fence, awarded to the leading 1.10m or 1.20m combination at each leg and highlighting consistency and performance at these competitive heights.
Further reinforcing the tour’s commitment to youth development, the leading Young Rider in the 1.35m division will be awarded a prestigious bursary to train with internationally-renowned Irish rider Bertram Allen, offering an invaluable pathway to elite-level sport.
“We at Karlswood are delighted to support the Leinster Showjumping Tour this year,” said Cian O’Connor. “It is a fantastic addition to what is already shaping up to be a very exciting national show schedule for Irish riders, both professional and amateur. Supporting opportunities like this is hugely important for the continued growth of the sport in Ireland. We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to Horseware Ireland for providing the beautiful prize rugs for the tour.”
The tour kicks off this weekend and will travel to some of Leinster’s most popular equestrian venues before culminating in a grand final at Tattersalls in late July.
