IRISH dressage riders featured prominently at the CDI international show in Jardy, France. Dutch-based Jennifer Harnett secured a podium finish in the three-star big tour classes.
Jennifer scored 65.447% with her 16-year-old Lusitano stallion Eximio for third place in the Grand Prix Special. Germany’s Leonie Krull and Sternenwanderer won on a 68.106% total with Evelyn Fleck slotting into second place for France on 66.085% with Domino De Merlieux.
Pony rider Kate Murphy completed a great show, scoring 68.825% with the 15-year-old Westphalian gelding Top Hero 2 for third place in the FEI Pony Freestyle to Music class. The class was won by Luxembourg’s Téo Rouyr (D’Ultimo M) on a 69.575% total with Turkish rider Laila Nazik Lück (Neschy D) scoring 69.267% for second place.
The Irish rider also placed second in the FEI Pony Individual class and third in the FEI Pony Team Test class for a memorable outing at the Haras de Jardy showgrounds. In the Children on Horses Individual Competition class, Ireland’s Millie Cosgrave and Let’s Dance scored 66.449% for fourth place.
