THE Fagan family hosted a well-supported TRI Equestrian Interschools competition last Sunday. This was the penultimate event before the final, which is taking place this weekend in CoilÓg.

The EII primary riders started the day off and enjoyed their competitions in the international arena. In the EII 75cm league class, victory went to Kilkisheen Girl ridden by Lucy Day for Mayglass National School, Wexford, ahead of Romeo 11 and Ciara Kelly from Aughnagarron National School in second and Catch Me Now ridden by Frankie Rath from Screen National School in third. Remaining league points went to Lucy Anna Rogers, Robyn Moran and Thomas Tully.

The 55cm class was run as a clear round competition and the class was shared between Tommy Healy, Lily McCormack, Isabel Nulty and Mila Van Cauwenberg. The fun primary teams’ class was won by a combined team from Gainstown, Kilbeggan and Milltown with St Etchen’s Kinnegad in the runner-up slot.

The Equieire novice 90cm class was next in the competition line-up. Aimee Byrne filled the second spot in the competition riding Major Profile for St Mary’s College Naas, with Georgia Queally from Kilkenny on Carraun Ferdy in third, Emily O’Neill from Kilbeggan qualified Da Vinci for the final in fourth place, as well as Fame.
