THERE was continued success over the weekend for the 10-year-old Irish Sport Horse mare My Clementine (OBOS Quality (OLD) x Qualisca de Vansichant (SBS) by Kashmir Van Schuttershof (SBS)), bred by David Prentice, when she and French rider Nina Mallevaey won the three-star 1.55m JPM International Grand Prix at Kessel in The Netherlands on Sunday.

From the 50 starters, just 10 were able to jump clear in round one to proceed to the jump-off, with seven combinations keeping all the poles intact second time out.

Mallevaey judged both lines and speed to perfection with her chesnut mare to clock the fastest time of 35.99 seconds and take the red ribbon and the top prize of €15,500.

Niels Kersten (NED) on Secret Treasure were next best in 36.56 to secure second place (36.56) and €12,400, with New Zealand’s Luke Dee on Gangster WW completing the podium in third (36.89) for €9,300. Ireland’s Matt Garrigan finished fourth on board Grace V in a time of 38.50 and took home €6,200 for his efforts.
