THE wins just kept coming for Ireland at Sentower Park over the weekend and European Champion Emily Moloney had an incredible show, which concluded with her riding the eight-year-old Irish Sport Horse mare Tick A Lu to victory in Sunday’s 51-strong Junior 1.40m Grand Prix with a double clear round in a jump-off time of 37.98 seconds.

Her nearest challenger was Anda Elena Bojita (ROU) on Eireann LVS Z, who placed second in 39.87. Ireland’s Alexandra Kiernan on Preach V/D Wezelse Heihoeve came fourth, followed by Alanna Fagan on Billy Hastings in fifth.

Ted Fagan also deserves a special mention as the talented young athlete won multiple classes at the show. Continuing an amazing run, he and Ballyfore Rosie won Saturday’s Pony 1.30m Grand Prix, with Alex Sheehan on Ballynoe Lurgan Diamond in second. Fagan was also sixth with Kilkillahara Beauty, with Alanna Keeling on Cosmic Girl eighth.

Placings

A CSI Youth show ran at Sentower Park, Opglabbeek from November 13th until 16th, with classes for Under 25s, Juniors, Children and Ponies.

Ireland was well represented at the show, both in the start lists and in the placings. The first class was a Children’s Small Tour 1.15m speed class, which saw Susan Brannigan place second with Imagine d’Argent, with Oscar Hand on Ldec Solo in sixth.

The Junior Small Tour 1.25m speed class saw Moloney claim victory from a large start list of 71 on board Cruising On The Ridge, followed by Robbie Sheehan on Fubalia in third and Isabelle Boland on MBF Maxwill in sixth.

There were three Irish in the top six of the 62-strong Junior Big Tour 1.35m two-phase special class, namely Chloe Hughes Kennedy on Starouge in third, Moloney on Tick A Lu in fourth and Alanna Fagan on Billy Hastings in sixth.

The Pony Big Tour 1.20m two-phase special class saw five Irish in the top eight, headed by Ted Fagan, who won the class on board Kilkillahara Beauty. Saoirse O’Neill on Carnhill Misty came third, Fagan also placed fifth on Ballyfore Rosie, with Ronan Gilvarry on Glor Tire Cruise in sixth and Olivia Kinsella on Woodstock Queen in seventh.

Irish riders filled the top five places in Friday’s Pony Small Tour 1.10m two-phase special, with Max Galway on Orchid’s Coryan in first, Gilvarry on Romaround in second, Alanna Keeling on Nola Hdh in third, Gilvarry on Dexter Leam Prancer in fourth and Sheehan on Kerim Van Orchid’s in fifth. Oisin Anderson on Iceford Miss Douglas placed eighth in the class.

Moloney and Cruising On The Ridge were back on the podium when third in the day’s Junior Small Tour 1.25m two-phase special class.

Brannigan came out on top in the Children’s Small Tour 1.15m speed class riding Imagine d’Argent, followed by Gavin Doyle on Helsinki 8 in fifth and James Walsh on Currency in eighth.

The Under-25 Big Tour 1.45m speed class saw Jill Green place third on Hazel, with Billy Sinnott on Macgyver in seventh.

It was an all-Ireland podium in the Pony Big Tour 1.25m speed class with Ted Fagan taking another win on Ballyfore Rosie, followed by Sheehan on Dunard Cavalexa in second and O’Neill on Carnhill Misty in third, while in the Junior Big Tour 1.35m speed class, Alanna Fagan on Billy Hastings placed sixth, Chloe Hughes Kennedy on Starouge was seventh and Launa McCann on Sambuca H was eighth.

Moloney on Cruising On The Ridge was back on top of the podium in Saturday’s Junior Small Tour 1.30m speed class from a start list of 74, while Walsh rode Currency to win the Children’s Small Tour 1.15m two-phase special, followed by Doyle on Helsinki 8 in eighth.

In the Pony Small Tour 1.10m speed class, Olivia Kinsella on Toddy’s Lass placed third, with Isolde Tivy on Leothan Candy in joint sixth.

Sunday’s classes commenced with the Pony Small Tour 1.15m two-phase special being won by Max Galway on Orchid’s Coryan, with Kinsella and Toddy’s Lass joining him on the podium in third. Robbie Sheehan placed fifth on Dunard Cavalexa and 10th on Kerim Van Orchid’s, while Tivy on Leothan Candy placed seventh.
