KERRY’S Dylan Daly did best of the Irish in Friday’s 61-strong three-star $62,500 Grand Prix qualifier at Wellington International in Florida.

The class saw three Irish riders finish in the top 10, after 11 combinations booked their place in the timed decider.

Daly placed third on board Cinderella Z, just ahead of Limerick’s Paul O’Shea on Manglar LS La Silla in fourth, while Cork’s Shane Sweetnam and Coriaan Van Klapscheut Z finished in equal ninth place.

Chloe Reid (USA) and Crossover 4 won the class with the only double clear, with Sweetnam’s daughter Olivia (USA) riding Epic into second place as the fastest four-faulter.

The ESP Spring 3 three-star fixture at Wellington International saw Sweetnam placed eighth with Balou H in Thursday’s $32,000 1.45m two-phase special class.
