HAVING staged last Saturday’s opening leg of this year’s Baileys Horse Feeds flexi eventing series at The Meadows, the Northern Region of Eventing Ireland had a busy start to the week just gone.
On Monday, the Region held a very well-attended grassroots information evening in the conference room at The Meadows, where riders and others were first welcomed by regional chair, Georgia Stubington, who also presided over the concluding Q and A session.
There were talks on event preparation (given by Dora Beacom), veterinary issues (Inge d’Haese), cross-country tips and advice (Andrew Napier and Jonny Steele), tack (Georgia and Lucca Stubington), the Celtic Challenge (Declan Cullen), the Katie Trust (James Brannigan and Tracey Tedford) and upcoming training (Dora Beacom).
The Region’s annual general meeting was held the following evening at Gourley’s in Ballygowan. This will be reported on in next Saturday’s issue.
