THE Karlswood High Performance Centre is once again sponsoring the Junior Equitation classes at next week’s Gallagher Dublin Horse Show.

Despite being part of the showing programme, they take place in the re-named EOS IT Solutions Arena where, starting at 8am next Saturday, the performance of the riders will be judged by the USA’s James Doyle.

Last year’s winner, Rachel Westphal, returns to defend her title in the 138cms class with Adrienne Traynor’s now 23-year-old home-bred Grange King’s Surf mare Clonross Giselle while, having comfortably won two of the qualifiers judged by the series’ assessor Jane Bradbury, Emily Appleby has to be one of the favourites to land the 153cms class where she rides Rosemarie Stuart 14-year-old dun gelding Killaloe Stepping Out.
