THE final qualifying leg of the Northern Region’s Healy’s Haylage summer league was held last Sunday at Knockagh View where the higher graded classes came under the scrutiny of Irish international Dane Rawlins, a List 1 judge with British Dressage.

Three combinations topped Rawlins’s overall leaderboards with scores of 70%+.

These were Jane Allen-Collins on the home-bred Irish Sport Horse mare Lougherne Atlanta (70.5% in the Novice DI24a), a nine-year-old daughter of Antaeus; Nicole Peoples with Karen McKeown’s 14-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding VSH Gangster (73.75 in the Elementary DI52); and Mark Robinson on board Debbie Burns’s 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding Master Caledonia (73.17 in the Advanced Medium).

The highest score awarded by Julie Green (BD List 3) during the day was the 75.48% which saw Debbie Cherry win the Preliminary BD5 on her 10-year-old roan cob Kilmullen Pebbles.
