ALEXANDRA Frei, who was the sole starter in the FEI Young Riders Team Test at Marlton on Saturday, has been announced as one of the exhibition riders at the Dressage Ireland judges’ gala in Kildalton College on Saturday, October 10th.

Frei will partner her Saturday winner, the 10-year-old Belgian Warmblood mare Quibelle Van De Vlindervallei (by Messi Of Colors) who she has owned and produced through the levels since the grey was four, starting in Trailblazer company.

Also taking part will be Tara Oliver with her 12-year-old Oldenburg gelding Senators Rhonaldo who is by Rhondeo out of a Krack C mare.

Oliver has owned the bay since he was a yearling and has produced him through the levels. He has won age titles on four occasions at the DI national championships and is currently competing at Small Tour level, working towards Grand Prix.

The identities of the other four exhibition riders will be revealed over the next couple of weeks.

The guest presenter at this year’s gala, which is organised by the judges’ committee of DI but is open to all, is the 5* FEI Olympic judge Karrina Wuest who will speak on Principles in practice - how to arrive at a mark’.

The charge of €60 for judges and €65 for non-judges covers a full day’s training in both the lecture hall and indoor arena and includes lunch.
