THE Eastern Region of Dressage Ireland got last weekend’s affiliated action underway on Saturday at Marlton Stud where there were four judges on duty.

Vida Tansey (List 1) had a mixed bag to assess, awarding her highest score (70%) in the Trailblazers’ Intro Test A to Stephanie Fleming riding Orla Whelton’s 23-year-old Welsh Section C mare Rookery Fitz.

Two combinations recorded 68.09, Aine Ryan with her nine-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding Leejoy in the Prix St George and Lydia Dawson with her 16-year-old Clonswords Mr Jones gelding Clonswords Alf in the Inter I.

On 75.37%, Sorrell Klatzko achieved the highest score of Lindsey Ilona Brady (List 4) for her test in the Elementary DI51 on her home-bred Irish Sport Horse mare Million Dreams SK, a six-year-old daughter of Millennium out of a Desert Moon mare.

A recent addition to List 6, Nat O’Hanrahan judged eight combinations in the Preliminary DI18 where her overall leaderboard was topped by Roisin Winters riding Kate Dwyer’s Dutch Warmblood mare First Lady, a five-year-old bay by Furst Belissaro (72.29%). Paula Geiger (List 3) awarded her highest score (71.15%) in the Preliminary DI8 to Ebony Ryan on board the unregistered Catch.

In the dedicated Junior section, Cael Shanahan recorded the highest score of 67.29% on the ISH mare Nice One Clover in the Preliminary DI18 which was judged by O’Hanrahan.
