ANNA Dangerfield and Grainne Murphy, who were on the mark at Ballindenisk the previous Thursday, maintained their winning form at Saturday’s North Munster Region summer league show at Garranemore Equestrian, where the judges were Vida Tansey (List 1) and Paula Geiger (List 3).

On board her nine-year-old Ben Benicio gelding Bonito, Dangerfield first saw off one rival to win the Geiger-judged Elementary league class (DI53) on a score of 66%, before accounting for four rivals in the non-league DI56A, where she topped Tansey’s overall leaderboard on 66.29.

Murphy landed the Preliminary league class (DI8) when achieving Geiger’s overall top score of 69.62 on her Portuguese Sport Horse gelding Ravi, a five-year-old chesnut son of Valerde, before doubling up on 67.08 in the Tansey-judged two-runner Advanced Medium league class (DI95) with her 10-year-old Spanish-bred gelding Flamenco CCLXXV.

On 67.93, Michaela Steyn Keating topped Geiger’s overall scores in the Novice league class (DI27A) with her seven-year-old Dutch Warmblood stallion O’Neal From Second Life (Vitalis - Eclips From Second Life, by Jazz). Lucy Cusack recorded an Advanced double on the Dutch Warmblood gelding Kirktown, her 11-year-old son of Uptown out of Gavelle Ter Twincke.
