BARRON Transport Services have been named as title sponsor of the 2026 Dressage Ireland National Championships Festival taking place from next Wednesday to Saturday next, August 12th to 16th, at Castle Irvine, Necarne.

Entries for both the Youth Championships (Wednesday and Thursday) and the Senior Championships (Friday to Saturday) closed at the end of last month but nominations for the regional team championships remain open until tomorrow.

Among the entries for the Junior Novice championship is Lucy Ferris with her mother Mary’s 10-year-old Connemara geldimg How Ya Sammy. In fifth overall at Preliminary level, this combination fared best of the 11-strong Ireland squad in the more competitive classes at last weekend’s Youth Dressage Home Nations at the Vale View Equestrian Centre in Leicestershire.
