A LARGE crowd gathered at the Westmeath Hunt kennels in Mullingar on Friday evening, August 15th, for the annual Westmeath Foxhounds Puppy Show.

Masters Helen Moorehead, Ann Derwin, Cyril O’Hara and Jim Derwin, along with the committee, warmly welcomed neighbours and friends to the event. The evening also marked the introduction of newly-appointed Huntsman Mikey Bell, formerly of the West Norfolk Hunt.

Special thanks were extended to the dedicated puppy walkers for their invaluable time and effort in preparing the young hounds. The hounds were presented and judged by Pat Hayes, Chairman of the IMFHA, and Andrew Kendall, former master of the West Norfolk Hunt.

The sun shone down on what proved to be a most enjoyable and successful evening. Thanks and appreciation were expressed to landowners, farmers and all hunt supporters for their continued goodwill.
