FOLLOWING the success of last year’s inaugural sale, which saw strong demand and a top price of €32,000 achieved, the team at Goresbridge have announced the return of the End of Season Special Show jumping Pony Sale.

Once again confined to SJI-registered ponies - 128cm, 138cm and 148cm - this dedicated section will be staged in conjunction with the December Sport Horse Sale on Friday, December 5th.

Speaking about the launch of the second edition, Ed Donohoe commented: “Last year proved that there is a real appetite for a focused pony show jumping section, providing owners with a valuable end-of-season outlet to sell or trade up. We are excited to build on that momentum this December and to showcase another top-quality line-up of competition ponies.”

In a new addition for 2025, prospective buyers will be given the opportunity to attend a preview trial day on Thursday, December 4th at the sales complex, allowing ponies to be seen and tried ahead of the sale itself.

As before, vendors are encouraged to provide a set of x-rays, although this is not compulsory. The sale will be part of the reintroduced December performance edition, and will precede a sale of foals and young stock on Saturday, December 6th.
