THE All-Ireland Polo Club Season 2025 took off with a thundering gallop in the Phoenix Park last weekend, with seven teams from all over Ireland arriving to compete in the 0 Goal, and the 4 Goal matches of the Tankardstown House Tournament.

Finals were held on Sunday with Contact Bridge Association Ventures coming out on top in the 4 Goal, captained by Caroline Keeling, along with her team of Siobhan Herbst, Tom Small and Mark Stone, and the 0 Goal was won by Polo Wicklow, captained by Siobhan Herbst, along with Toby Walsh, John Corbett and Jennifer Small. Master of the microphone was Lar Sheeran with his expert commentary on all matches.

Members and guests including former Club Presidents, Larry O’Mahony, Paul Monahan, and current President Eamonn Laverty, along with Vice-President Derville Meade, enjoyed an exquisite afternoon tea during the games from the wonderful Tankardstown House, sponsors of the tournament weekend, and who will also be the resident catering partners for the coming season.
