COOLE Lane, winners of the Wildcard Qualifier at the AIRC Festival in Mullingar back in early June, have been drawn first to compete in tomorrow’s (Sunday) Association of Irish Riding Clubs’ team show jumping championships at the Gallagher Dublin Horse Show.

Greenhills brought up a hat trick of victories since 2012 when successful in the Simmonscourt Arena last August and bidding to join them on the three-win mark are Highland Lodge who claimed the title in 2013 and 2016. The other squads who came through the Premier Performance-sponsored regional qualifiers this season and are due to line up in the renamed EOS IT Solutions Arena are Calliaghstown, Carne, Cheval, Hollybrook, Meath, Mill Road and Nephin.

The judges tomorrow are Serena Finnerty, Heather Camblin and Michael O’Connor while horses, and riders, are usually introduced to spectators by Conan Ronan.

Alan Lynch is course builder for the competition which is scheduled to get underway at 4pm. There will be a best turned out prize on offer.
