MANY congratulations to Caroline Lyons and Ryan Maxwell who were married in Spa Church last Saturday.

Caroline is a daughter of leading Northern young show horse producer Davy Lyons, and his wife Gillian, and it was at their home in Ballynahinch that the reception took place following a photographic session at the Butterfly House in Seaforde. “The reception was in the sheds and the whole wedding was all very country!” said Caroline.

We hardly needed to hear that on seeing the photograph of the bride and groom being transported from the wedding by Kenny Gracey’s Longhorn bull Logan Bishop who has featured in Game Of Thrones. While Caroline helps her father with the show horses when needed (most often seen leading foals) and has worked in the Tullyraine Equine Clinic for the past six years, her own interests lie in sheep and cattle.

“Ryan and I are now living up near his parents, Roberta and Sydney, in Carnagh and I brought my sheep and cattle with me. Ryan, who also works in a hardware shop in Keady, is a beef farmer and we have a small herd of pedigree Irish Moiled cattle between us.” Hugh Suffern and the team at Tullyraine had to do without Caroline’s input this week as they newly weds enjoyed a brief honeymoon in Portstewart.
